Praveen’s practice includes corporate and commercial litigation, construction disputes, wills and estates and immigration law. Since articling and becoming an associate lawyer with Loberg Law, Praveen has gained a wealth of experience including work with lenders and borrowers, review of contracts, leases and sophisticated commercial agreements. Praveen has appeared in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and the Provincial Court of Alberta.
She has an international outlook, having attended law school in central London, UK at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, with the unique opportunity to learn the legal systems of Asia and Africa, European law and English law. During her time in London, Praveen was secretary of her law school's division of Lawyers Without Borders.
Prior to her studies in London, Praveen studied sociology at Queen's University on the Queen's University excellence scholarship. During her first year she attended the Bader International Study Centre based at Herstmonceux Castle in southern England. Throughout her studies at Queen’s University she remained on the Dean’s Honours List. During the summer, Praveen worked as a student at a mid-sized firm specializing in real estate and foreclosure proceedings.
On her return to Canada, Praveen passed the National Committee of Accreditation examinations through the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. While completing her examinations she worked as a paralegal, specializing in immigration and family law in Calgary, Alberta.
